Design innovation

The first Hilljak Quickie Loader was designed in 2013 for a Ruger Mark III 22/45. After loading up magazines and leaving the range with a badly blistered thumb, Joe Hilljak designed and 3D printed the Quickie Loader LRS model. It sold on-line in 20 minutes. It's now one of the most popular magazine loaders in the world

JOE MOYA, president

Joe Moya (AKA: Joe Hilljak) founded the Hilljak brand in 2013. He is an accomplished leader adept in driving new product development, innovation, brand design and manufacturing in lean entrepreneurial organizations and established corporations. He is a native New Yorker and former Chief Development Officer with MindsInSync, VP of Design, Brand & Merchandising at Timex Corporation, Sr. Director of Product Innovation at Office Depot and Studio Director of Product Design and Innovation at FITCH. Joe has held various design and management positions with several start-ups in New York City. He is a former Chair of IDSA-NY and is a former adjunct professor at Pratt Institute. Joe is a graduate of the University of Bridgeport with a B.S. in Industrial Design.


Joe was held up at gunpoint, tied-up, and brutalized in his early 30s while living in NYC at a jazz lounge across from his apartment in Little Italy. The experience, while traumatizing,  motivated him to overcome his fear of guns and to design & invent the first Quickie Loader. Joe knew it was not the gun, but the person holding the gun that is the problem. 


As a health & fitness enthusiast, Joe plays tennis 3-4 times a week and is often running around the office in tennis shorts. Joe's everyday carry is a Smith & Wesson M&P Shield Plus 9mm.

Andrea has been instrumental in establishing Hilljak as a category leader in firearms accessories and creating many of our marketing and sponsorship programs with YouTube gun enthusiasts including IV8888 and 22Plinkster. Most recently she helped brainstorm our Hilljak fall advertising campaign. Andrea plays a mean 6-string and her everyday carry is a Glock 43X 9mm. andreaanthony@hilljak.com

Mechanical engineering, quality control, additive manufacturing and 3D-printing guru, Elliott wears many hats at Hilljak USA. As a Florida native he brings his enthusiasm for the great outdoors to the our team and now leads our range day outings. When Elliott isn't in the development lab, he's often watching a Columbus Crew game downtown. His EDC is a Glock 19X 9mm.
